After the success of last year’s initial collaboration, we are thrilled that ‘Barrel Organ and Company’ is returning to NSDF. This year we will be working with the brilliant Votive Theatre, on what promises to be an integral and exciting part of NSDF 22.

CHOOSE YOUR FIGHTER

Meet Dee, Craig, Amber and Freya. They know they're cute, queer and poly but are less sure how to introduce themselves at a party…

Follow the group as they grapple with queerness, their parents and (most importantly) what to eat for dinner.

CHOOSE YOUR FIGHTER uses technology to present separate journeys. Inspired by the experience created by narrative video games, which use video character alignment, the show also aligns sections of the audience with a character’s story - a phenomenon rarely attempted in theatre.

Through witnessing one person’s story first-hand, will this align moral judgement in their favour? Will the heroes and the villains be the same for all participants? Is it possible to manufacture this direct intimacy to sway opinion?

Join us as we use this premise to take an intimate look at the multifaceted nature of the queer experience.
