tell me July's, tell me sweet little Julys ... news

12 Jul 2023

Howdy!

Sorry for the radio silence in June, team. Some of us were on holiday and we may have forgotten to send the newsletter. But don't fear! After a relatively quiet month, we are back in your inboxes with a bumper crop of updates.

First up, as promised, an introduction to our brilliant new Youth Advisory Panel, who will be helping us with making decisions about programming and the way the company is run. We can't wait for our first meeting later this month with Aekam, Amy, Anson, Emily, Emily, Immy, Rory, and Sadia. We'll no doubt be handing over some of this space to this fabulous, inquiring bunch of people in future, so we'll allow them to say their own 'hello' at a later date.

We also now have a fantastic line-up for LIVE: Scarborough. We heard some stupidly exciting ideas from excellent Yorkshire and national artists, and can't wait for our next LIVE Yorkshire outing in September. But we'll keep the lid on a full announcement for now, to keep you in suspense. Come back next time to find out who these brilliant artists are.

Our Arthur project is also now in full swing, with workshops with young people taking place across Yorkshire over the next few months. If you're a young person based in Bradford, Hull, Kirklees, Leeds, Rotherham, Sheffield, or York, then get in touch about getting involved - we want to hear from you!

Finally, a public performance you can come and watch! On the 17th August, we'll be wrapping up our Town Squared project in Leighton-Linslade with a celebration event at Leighton Buzzard Library Theatre. Join us for a free evening of performance, as we celebrate the rich variety of work created by first-time writers and performers local to Leighton-Linslade. Tickets can be booked by clicking this link.

That's all for July now, we think. Hope you have a lovely summer. Don't forget the suncream.
