August already? We can’t believe it either. First and foremost we’d like to congratulate you for not evaporating in the heat over the past few weeks, pats on the back for everyone. Now for the news. Last week we had the first sharing for our civic participation project Town Squared in Leighton Buzzard; think fantasy islands, reimaginings of Cinderella and… a gigantic goose. No, really:
Participants performed their words alongside two professional actors. It was a wonderful evening of innovation, community, and JOY. Also in July our pals at Slung Low lent us their space to work with a fantastic group of Leeds-based young people on our new show Arthur - the young people explored what leadership meant to them, and we played a game (or three). And finally - applications are now open for our next work-in-progress night LIVE, a development programme for underrepresented artists, this time in Yorkshire in partnership with Bradford Producing Hub so get applying!
